How to Make Lash Extensions Last Longer

Beautiful lash extensions are not only about your technician's skill — how you care for them at home matters just as much. Your natural lashes shed on a 6–8 week cycle, but good habits keep the set looking full far longer.

The first 48 hours matter most

Lash adhesive needs time to fully cure. For the first 24–48 hours, avoid water, steam, saunas and sweaty workouts so the bond can set properly.

Keep lashes clean and dry — the right way

  • Cleanse 2–3 times a week with an oil-free lash foam.
  • Avoid any oil-based products around the eyes.
  • Brush lashes gently every morning with a spoolie to keep them aligned.

Oil is the number-one enemy of lash glue. Rich creams, oil cleansers and waterproof mascara all break the bond down quickly.

Stop touching and rubbing

Rubbing your eyes or tugging lashes when tired causes early shedding. Try sleeping on your back or on a silk pillowcase to reduce friction.

Finally, don't skip your refill every 2–3 weeks. Regular fills are always cheaper and prettier than starting a full new set.
