Permanent makeup (PMU) brows give you beautiful brows every morning with no drawing needed. To feel confident, it helps to understand the whole process before you start.
Step 1: Consultation and mapping
At the first session your artist measures your facial proportions, selects a pigment to match your skin tone, and sketches the shape. You approve it before we begin — no surprises.
Step 2: The procedure
A numbing cream is applied first, so most clients feel only a light scratching. Pigment is placed in the upper skin layer as hair strokes or a soft shaded finish, depending on your chosen style.
Step 3: The healing
- Days 1–3: brows look darker and sharper than usual.
- Days 4–10: light flaking begins — do not pick.
- Weeks 2–4: colour softens, then "blooms" back to its true tone.
Step 4: The top-up
After 4–6 weeks you return for a perfecting top-up. This step is essential for even, long-lasting colour. PMU typically lasts 1–2 years.
While healing, keep brows dry, avoid sun and apply aftercare balm as directed. Good care is half of the final result.
